A family-sized musical romp for the wild at heart comes to Battersea Arts Centre this February half term.
Spark imagination and ignite creativity in your little one at Chromatica Orchestra’s creature feature family concert at Battersea Arts Centre on Wednesday 19th February when Saint-Saëns’s The Carnival of the Animals will be brought to life with big-hearted fun.
Have you ever seen a tortoise dance the can-can or an elephant attempt a nimble waltz? How about violins masquerading as cheeky, pecking hens or kangaroos leaping across pianos? No? Well, you can find them all and more in this fun-filled music.
With performances at 12 noon and 3pm this 1-hour show is the perfect way to introduce your little one to the wonder of live classical music, with giggles guaranteed.
Conductor Tess Jackson and presenter Jessie Maryon Davies will guide you through the music and reveal the awesome sounds of a live orchestra. Members of Chromatica Orchestra will be joined on stage by inspirational young instrumentalists from the Music in Secondary Schools Trust.
