Belleville Wix Academy received the highest outcom

Belleville Wix Academy received the highest outcome possible for an ‘ungraded’ inspection in their latest Ofsted report.

The inspection focused in particular on the quality of education in early reading, early maths, science, art and PE, as well as on pupils’ personal development. The inspector was extremely positive about the school in his feedback sessions throughout the inspection and during the final feedback session with leaders.

A few highlights from the report include:
- ‘Pupils thrive at this vibrant, friendly school where they feel happy and safe. Relationships between adults and pupils are warm and nurturing.’
- ‘Pupils have an excellent start to their education here. As soon as they join the early years, staff assess and determine children’s starting points. This means that pupils with SEND get the support that they need at the earliest opportunity.’
- ‘Leaders, trustees, and governors share an unwavering vision for every pupil to thrive. They are committed to doing ‘whatever it takes’ to secure excellent outcomes for pupils.’

🎾 Tennis time this Easter 🎾
Julian Cousins Sports (@juliancousinssports) Camps, the longest running camp on Clapham Common, was started to offer fun, progressing sports activities during the school holidays. The core sports of football and tennis remain but are supported with other sports and qualified coaches and teachers offering quality coaching in a safe environment. Camps will follow the Ofsted guidelines on ratios and all the leaders have current DRS/CRB and safeguarding training.

Dates and Time: Week 1 – 7th April for 5 days, Week 2 – 14th April for 4 days from 8:45 AM to 2:00 PM

Location: Clapham Common (registration by Bowling Green Cafe)

Age: 3 years to 12 years

Price: £38 per day, £135 for 4 day week. 10% sibling discount

7 years of running Clapham Mums!

It has been such a journey- saying good bye to finance and joining the small business world, saying goodbye to the franchise world to buyout Clapham Mums, surviving the lockdown and juggling 2 children along the way. It wasn’t easy always, solo entrepreneurship isn’t for everyone - no one to push, motivate, and guide you. The hardest part is an unsubscribe to a newsletter 😔.

But every time I hit a slump, I got a message or met someone who wanted to work with me or liked something we posted. That’s what keeps me going!
And for that I am so grateful. Still standing and ready for the next year.

EATON HOUSE THE MANOR PRE-PREP NEWS

Mrs Kirsten Bond has been appointed as the new Head of Eaton House The Manor (@eatonhouseschools.themanor) Pre-Preparatory School from September 2025.

Mrs Bond originally joined the schools in January 2002, and was a key member of staff in the Pre-Prep for many years before moving across to the Girls’ School as Deputy Headmistress.

All who know Mrs Bond remark on her warmth, her kindness and her empathy, her overall brilliance and her commitment to academic excellence. Her knowledge and interest in this formative stage of education is second-to-none, and the school will be in incredibly safe hands under her watch.
