Summer Holiday Camp Guide 2023

Finding holiday camps is a daunting task so we have done the hard work for you! We have collated a list of local camps with everything from sports to performing arts and more. Classes are filling up fast so we advise that you check the website for these activities- they may offer promotions (early bird, sibling, multi week).

Activ Camps

Sessions range from introducing adapted versions of the more traditional sports (rugby, football, cricket, netball and rounders) to outright madness on  giant inflatables.

All Star Tennis

Locally famous holiday camps for ages 3 to teens across four locations in Wandsworth, All Star Summer Camps are all about enjoying tennis in a super-fun environment! Players can expect a SMASHING week full of drills, games, prizes, competitions, friendly match-play, optional fancy dress on the last day and lots more. Early drop off and late pick up are available at Wandsworth Common.

Art- K Clapham and Art-K Wandsworth

Cypher’s Make Games Don’t Just Play Them camp

Are you ready to take your child’s summer experience to the next level? Learning doesn’t have to stop this summer, as children will embark on an adventure of coding, STEM, sports, and outdoor exploration at Cypher’s Make Games Don’t Just Play Them camp.

Funky Monkey Keyboard Classes

Come and discover a new talent at Funky Monkey Keyboard Classes 3.5 hour beginner’s music workshop for 4-8 year olds! Learn the electronic keys and to read, write and play music. A fun-packed session of music, art & games. ‘Take home’ workbook, keyboards provided, small groups.

Julian Cousins Sports

The core sports of tennis and football remain but are supported with other sports and qualified coaches and teachers offering quality coaching in a safe environment.

Kids Eden Camp

Kids Eden Camp’s itinerary includes arts and crafts, cakesicles, popsicles, and crispy reef decorating, designing t-shirts, treasure bags, and mermaid and pirate masks. Alongside well-being — Yoga with Ms Beatrix, and I work out with Mr Wes. Foodbank donations at St Mark’s Church and tidying up our community, and cream of the crop, water games. The children will spend 1/3 of the day outside playing and visiting local libraries. They have you covered with a hearty menu and two healthy snack breaks. The week ends with a visit the Science Museum, encouraging campers to think like a scientist at Wonderlab: The Equinox Gallery. The camp ends with a matinee with treats, whereby parents and siblings are welcome to join from 4-6 pm.

Lavender Leonardos Children’s Art School

Lavender Leonardos is a small independent, children’s art studio set in a unique creative space in Battersea. Their mission is to teach and inspire children and adults of all levels of experience, in a fun and friendly environment. They offer in person and online art classes with sessions aimed at 6yrs+, 9yrs+ & 13yrs+, in addition to 1:1 tuition, birthday parties and printmaking.

Open Air Fit

Multi Sport Camp

Open Air Fit Multi-Sport camps are a great way for kids to be outdoors, make new friends, have a go at new sports and above all have fun!  Sports included are the more traditional games of football, rugby, athletics, plus ones that might not have been played before such as baseball or handball and there are always lots of fun games and obstacle courses too.  Camps are wholly inclusive and open to both boys and girls of all abilities aged between 4 and 13.

Goalkeeping Master Class with Former Pro Goalkeeper Mel Capleton

2 day pre-season goalkeeping master class working on speed, agility, quickness, ball handling, quick feet, positioning and how we put those together in a game situation.

Pre-season 2 Day Football Camp

Pre-season Football Camp led by former player Mel Capleton.  Open to all children of all abilities age 6+.  The camp will be focussing on key areas such as passing, dribbling and tackling, helping everyone to improve their all round game and Mel will of course be passing on lots of his top tips!

Picassos in the Park

Give your child a super fun and activity packed two days, where they will learn about the inspirations and influences of iconic artists and explore their own creativity to produce masterpieces in different styles and mediums, working in both 2 & 3D.

TATE MODERN GALLERY DAY

A day of exploring COLOUR and SHAPE through the galleries at Tate Modern. Looking at painters such as Matisse, Delaunay, Leger, Kelly, Zeid, Nicholson and more.  They will focus on exploring what colour means, its impact and how different artists use colour to express ideas. They will also be giving the children the chance to see the widely acclaimed Hilma af Klint & Piet Mondrian show – a great opportunity to see their impressive body of work and explore abstract art.

Sparks Film School’s holiday camps welcome young creatives to learn about filmmaking, animation through our unique short courses and workshops.

The Strings Club

Rated 5* by hundreds of parents, The Strings Club are delighted to announce the launch of their award-winning Holiday Camps in Balham from April 2023.
