Immersive Elf Visits arriving in Clapham for Christmas 2023
This Christmas Santa’s Elves will be arriving in Clapham households, thanks to a personalised immersive theatre experience designed by London entertainment company, Jasmine’s Magic Parties.
This new Christmas tradition is easy for Clapham parents to set up: families are sent an Elf Book to read in advance. ‘Wishing on a Washing Line for Christmas’ describes a Postie Elf visiting children before Christmas in order to deliver Santa’s Letters, and this creates the theatrical backdrop for the actual London Elf visit.
Children then see real live Elves dressed in exactly the same way as the book playing in their garden and that’s when the magic really starts. Then inside for an Elf and Safety check! This interactive visit ends with a chat via our candy cane communicator with the big man!
Families are also sent a form to fill in, so the Elves can give each child a personalised letter from Santa as well as to talk to the children as if they know them. The elves come into your home and Clapham families will have wonderful memories and mementoes that include the Elf book, a personalised letter for each child from Santa and lots and lots of photos.
Jasmine created this experience when she tried to book an ‘elf experience’ for her own godchildren and realised there was nothing in London that matched her expectations. She teamed up with a company based in Liverpool who did Elf Garden Visits and she enhanced and tweaked this to suit the London audience.
An experienced children’s magician with years of creating family events as well as performing at them, Jasmine wanted to offer something that would combine the joy of books with theatre that the whole family would enjoy.
She said: “I wanted my godchildren to truly experience the magic of Christmas without making it too complicated for the parents. So I sent them a book about elves delivering Santa’s letters to children, and then sent two elves to do exactly that! The children (and their parents) loved this so much that they spread the word with Elf Visits being booked from Kensal Rise to Golders Green and now London Elf Visits: Elftastic Events is heading to Clapham for anyone to book”.
Currently, London Elf Visits are available in the Clapham, Putney and Barnes areas. Dates from 1st Dec to 24th December. Fees starting at £115 for a 20 min experience.
