It’s a new year and we have lots of new followers so it’s time for us to share our introduction again :)
👋🏽 I am Rohini, and I have been running Clapham Mums for nearly 5 years (and as an independent local business for the last 2 years). I have two little bosses who keep me on my toes!

Our goal (I say we but it’s really only me 😉) is to help busy parents use us as a one stop directory of what’s on in Clapham / Balham / Battersea and neighbouring areas and to provide local businesses with affordable advertising options to attract the hyperlocal community. We work with businesses to get exclusive deals and discounts for our readers: win for our readers with our free membership card and for businesses to get new clientele.

5 things about me:
- I love coffee and tea with equal measure! I got lucky with a husband/ barista who brews the best filter coffee.
- I am obsessed with medical shows and reality TV: Greys Anatomy, House, Private Practice and all the Real Housewives.
- I love all festivals- Diwali and Christmas are my favourites so it is my favourite time of the year! I find New Year’s Eve overrated!
- I am huge cricket fan, even wrote a 10000 word dissertation on it 😀. With World Cup around the corner, October/ November is super exciting!
- I am petrified of pigeons and I think they sense it 😨

This Christmas Santa’s Elves will be arriving in Clapham households, thanks to a personalised immersive theatre experience designed by London entertainment company, Jasmine’s Magic Parties (@jasminesmagicparties).

This new Christmas tradition is easy for Clapham parents to set up: families are sent an Elf Book to read in advance. ‘Wishing on a Washing Line for Christmas’ describes a Postie Elf visiting children before Christmas in order to deliver Santa’s Letters, and this creates the theatrical backdrop for the actual London Elf visit.

Children then see real live Elves dressed in exactly the same way as the book playing in their garden and that’s when the magic really starts. Then inside for an Elf and Safety check! This interactive visit ends with a chat via their candy cane communicator with the big man!

Currently, London Elf Visits are available in the Clapham, Putney and Barnes areas. Dates from 1st Dec to 24th December. Fees starting at £115 for a 20 min experience.
