The holiday season is the perfect time for a family show and see the best from London’s theatre scene. Get in the holiday spirit with these entertaining shows.


Alice in Wonderland

Brixton House (formerly Ovalhouse theatre) and multi-award winning, genre-bending theatre company Poltergeist have joined forces this December to present the premiere of a brand new production of Lewis Carroll’s all-time classic, Alice In Wonderland.

Crackers: A Festive Family Farce

Meet the Crackers. They’re trying to get ready for Christmas Day, but it’s not easy when the family pet shop is going out of business, Great Gran’s expecting a visit from Father Christmas and Napoleon the rat is on the loose. Visit Polka this festive season for a family farce like no other, written by award-winning playwright Charles Way.

Dick Wittington and his cat

The vibrant, feel-good show, with traditional slapstick comedy, excitement and adventure is perfect for ages 3-11. Produced by Hurricane Productions, a team of professionally trained actors, this theatrical treat will not fail to wow audiences with its silly jokes, vibrant scenery and wonderful costumes. Goldilocks and the Three Bears

For four weeks only, Richmond Theatre will be transformed into a sensational circus, with a show featuring extraordinary special effects and amazing circus tricks as well as all of your favourite moments from a traditional pantomime such as slapstick scenes, boos and hisses, singalongs and much more!

This spectacular show stars TV favourite Matt Baker (Countryfile, The One Show) as Joey the Clown, following his acclaimed performance in the 2019 London Palladium production.

Grandad, Me and Teddy

Mia loves her Grandad very much. He lives far away on the other side of the world, but finally he’s coming to visit, and Mia’s excitement is growing. When Grandad arrives, he brings with him adventurous stories and games which set Mia’s imagination alight- together they explore the whole world without ever leaving her playroom. Little Red Robin Hood

DISASTER: the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham has captured the famous outlaw Robin Hood! Who will stand up for the people now? Sometimes the true hero is the person you least expect, as Little Red Riding Hood heads into the forest to defeat the Sheriff, find her Grandma and discover her destiny.

The team behind BAC’s annual smash-hit panto mashups, The Sleeping Trees, are back with a hilarious new adventure ‘Little Red Robin Hood’.

Mother Goose

What would you do if you found a magical goose who lays golden eggs?! That’s exactly what’s in store for Mother Goose and she soon discovers that this priceless talent isn’t all it’s CRACKED up to be!

Packed full of all of your favourite pantomime ingredients, this reimagining of the classic rags-to-riches tale is the perfect festive treat.

Santa’s North Pole Adventure

With the most magical night of the year fast approaching, we join Santa and his elves at the North Pole for a seasonal story of fun, laughter and audience participation.

With many of your favourite Christmas songs included, come and see if you can help Santa in his Christmas preparations. Look out for Rudolph and the dancing polar bear! Celebrate the magic of Christmas and don’t forget your camera for that picture with the man himself!

Scroogelicious

Scoogelicious, Peckham’s take on Charles Dickens’ immortal classic A Christmas Carol takes centre stage this December. This impressive festive family show blends storytelling, dance and song with an original music score by Jordan Xavier featuring rap, RnB, hip hop and funk.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

The Nosy Little Troll

Deep in the heart of the Norwegian Forest live the trolls – big trolls, tiny trolls and a Nosy Little Troll who has an amazingly sensitive nose…One day there is a mumbling and a rumbling from the trolls. What is that wonderfully stinky smell wafting through the trees? The Nosy Little Troll sets off to follow her nose on a quest to solve the mysterious pong. Will she be brave enough to cross the scary old stone bridge and succeed in sniffing out the culprit?

The Pixie and the Pudding 

It’s Christmas Eve on the farm, and the chickens, pigs and cows are fast asleep. Inside the farmhouse, the fire is roaring and a delicious, steaming pudding is left out on the windowsill…

When Charlie and her dad move to the farm from the city, everything seems to go wrong. This enchanting musical brings a tale from Scandinavian folklore to life with puppetry, original music and a sprinkling of pixie magic.

We’re Going on a Bear Hunt

A family go on an expedition of a lifetime – running down the grassy bank, wading through the cold river, squelching over the oozy mud, stumbling into the dark forest, then peering into a cave… what will they find there? Little Angel Theatre brings Michael Rosen’s thrilling and funny adventure to life in this entrancing puppetry production, with puppets designed by Lyndie Wright and with original music by Barb Jungr.
