Belleville Wix Academy

Belleville Wix Academy is a vibrant & inclusive primary school which shares a unique bi-cultural community with École de Wix. It has an English stream and a bilingual stream (English/French) from Reception through to Year 6. It is part of the Quality First Education Trust, a multi-academy primary school trust which also includes Belleville Primary School in the local area, and together they share a relentless drive for improvement, excellence and equality.

Belleville Wix Academy was judged Ofsted ‘Good’ in October 2019 with an ‘Outstanding’ Early Years provision. The children are happy and successful here and achieve well beyond the national average. Most of the Year 6 leavers transfer to Ark Bolingbroke Academy (BWA is a feeder school) and the others to a range of state secondary schools and independent schools including Lycée Charles de Gaulle, with many gaining a place in the International Section.

Belleville Wix Academy’s curriculum is designed with excellence and equality at the core. Their LEARN approach is clearly structured to ensure that every child is developing their core skills, experiencing a broad and rich curriculum alongside building excellent personal social and emotional skills. They place high value on academic achievements and the importance of pupils to be literate and numerate to maximise their life chances beyond primary school. They also offer high quality specialist teaching in PE, dance, gymnastics, music, art, ICT and modern foreign languages.

Belleville Wix Academy offers wrap-around care with breakfast and after-school club, extra-curricular clubs, day and residential trips and sporting competitions and festivals with other schools.

Belleville Wix Academy welcomes children from all parts of the local community and are ready and experienced to help your child settle in quickly, whether they join the school in Nursery, Reception, or in Years 1 to 6.
