Pop School and Stage Academy

19/04/2021

PSSA Wandsworth is bouncing back for the Summer Term at a brand new venue….. St Anne’s School. Established in 2003, PSSA has trained thousands of young performers. Student success stories include Sophie Simnett (Disney’s The Lodge), Suki Waterhouse (Hunger Games), Jude Collie (Terminator), SODY (Universal Music) and they are looking forward to watching one of their students on the big screen in the new Matilda movie. Pop School & Stage Academy  prides itself in offering first class performing arts training for stage and screen in a supportive and fun environment. Principal Amelia believes children only realise their true potential when they feel confident to let themselves go in classes, and PSSA aims to provide exactly that space to let children express themselves. Unlike large franchise models, Amelia oversees every child’s development and works closely with teachers to ensure every student is progressing and reaching their individual goals. Little Stage Academy classes for 4-6 year olds incorporate drama, dance, singing and musical theatre training in one exciting session. These magical sessions are designed to boost confidence and encourage creativity in your little star and classes are action packed and full of laughter. PSSA classes for 6-16 year olds provide 3 fulfilled hours of acting, singing, dancing and performance training, enabling them to develop triple threat performance skills. Classes are taught by passionate industry professionals with showbiz CVs and a wealth of expertise, ensuring training is current and engaging. Each term takes a different focus and students children star in a Music Video, produce a CD in a recording studio, write and direct short films and perform in regular showcases. They also take part in West End Workshops with guest teachers from the West End and TV, and the highlight of the PSSA year is the big Summer musical, professionally produced in the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Theatre. Whether your child needs encouragement coming out of their shell, or is destined for a life on stage and screen then PSSA can nurture their individual talent and help them step into their spotlight.
