The holiday season is the perfect time for a family show and see the best from London’s theatre scene. Last year’s season was a washout but fingers and toes crossed, this year we can get in the holiday spirit with these entertaining shows.
A Christmas Carol
Reading Rep Theatre today announces the full cast of A Christmas Carol – a world première adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novella, written by local born playwright Beth Flintoff. Some of the scenes may be a little scary for younger audiences, so it’s recommended for ages 7+. Families with younger children may enjoy the environment of the relaxed performance on Sunday 12 December.

Think you know the story of Cinderella? Well, let us introduce Cindy and Ella: the REAL ugly sisters. Cindy wants to be rich and famous and is glued to her phone. When they meet a Prince who isn’t so charming and a fairy godmother who’s not what she seems, Ella must save her sister from a terrible fate before midnight strikes. Peppa Pig Best Day Ever
Peppa Pig is so excited. She’s going on a special day out with George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. Peppa knows that it’s going to be her very best day ever! Are you ready for a road trip full of fun and adventure? There will be loads of all of our favourite things, from castles and caves, dragons and dinosaurs, ice-creams and muddy puddles! Sleeping Beauty and the Beast
Ever wondered where Pantomime villains go at the end of the story? They go to Goodie-versity: the institute for reformed baddies, where Headmasters Beast and Belle teach them to be good. This Christmas Eve, the baddie class of 2021 are just one day away from their Gooduation when, DISASTER STRIKES… Someone has sent Beast to sleep and he won’t wake up! And without Beast, there can be no Gooduation day. With nearly everyone a suspect, can seasoned sleep detective Sleeping Beauty save the day?

The Three Billy Goats Gruff
