Established in 2003, PSSA has trained thousands of young performers. Student success stories include Sophie Simnett (Disney’s The Lodge), Suki Waterhouse (Hunger Games), Jude Collie (Terminator), SODY (Universal) and many more who are now in full time training at top vocational colleges.
PSSA prides itself in offering first class performing arts training for stage and screen in a supportive and fun environment. Principal Amelia believes children only realise their true potential when they feel confident to let themselves go in classes, and PSSA aims to provide exactly that space to let children express themselves. Unlike large franchise models, Amelia oversees every child’s development and works closely with teachers to ensure every student is progressing well and reaching their individual goals.
Their Little Stage Academy classes for 4-6 year olds also incorporate drama, dance, singing and musical theatre training in one exciting session. These magical sessions are designed to boost confidence and encourage creativity in your little star and classes are action packed and full of laughter.
7-16 year olds attend 3 hours of acting, singing, dancing and performance skills training every week, enabling them to be the ultimate triple threat performer. Classes are taught by passionate industry professionals with showbiz CVs and a wealth of expertise, ensuring training is current and engaging.
Each term takes a different focus and students children work towards Music Videos, producing a CD in a recording studio, writing and directing short films and regular showcases. They also take part in regular West End Workshops learning routines direct from their favourite shows – this term includes guest workshops with stars of Annie UK tour and School of Rock West End.
The highlight of the PSSA year is the big Summer musical, professionally produced in the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Theatre. This year is Seussical Jr and there is still time for your little performer to join the cast.
Whether your child needs encouragement coming out of their shell, or is destined for a life on stage and screen then PSSA can nurture their individual talent and help them step into their spotlight.
