Help your baby or toddler learn and develop through music in a fun and friendly environment.
Monkey Music is the longest established and most highly regarded pre-school music provider in Clapham, Battersea and Balham.
Classes are managed by Louise Krupski, who has run the area for over 20 years, and taught by a highly trained enthusiastic team of teachers.
Venues include the Contact Centre (off Abbeville Road), The Northcote Library, Battersea Arts Centre, Balham Library, Broomwood Methodist Church (Kyrle Rd) and The Life Tabernacle Church (close to Battersea Park) every morning and some afternoons. Check out the timetable here: www.monkeymusic.co.uk/area/clapham-battersea.
Every class is an adventure with action songs and rhymes, musical games, fun with percussion instruments and music and movement. The classes are fun but there’s a serious side too in that they provide huge benefits in the cognitive and social development of young babies and children.
There’s Rock ‘n’ Roll for babies from 3 months until actively crawling, Heigh-Ho for toddlers from 12 months or actively crawling, Jiggety-Jig for 2 & 3 year-olds and Ding-Dong for 3 & 4 year olds.
Angie Davies, Monkey Music’s founder, says: ‘The ear is the first organ to develop fully in the womb, enabling babies to take comfort in the music of their mother’s voice at just 11 weeks. All children are born with instinctive musicality and only if this is encouraged early enough will a child fulfil their natural musical potential.’
You can book a complimentary class at Monkey Music and find out for yourself just what a great time all the monkeys have.
Monkey Music also offer tailor-made birthday parties, full of music, singing, dancing and playing instruments and workshops in some of the holiday breaks.
