Smart Break

Smart Break is a brand new Summer School opening for children between 6-11 years in Clapham, Dulwich and Wimbledon this summer. Smart Break has been set up by an Assistant Head Teacher who believes that all children are naturally curious and creative and has designed the camps with this in mind. Smart Break employs only qualified teachers to ensure that children are fully engaged in a wide range of activities, including sports, theatre, technology, baking and science. They will engage, entertain and coach children in new activities which are all designed to stimulate energetic bodies and enquiring minds! What’s more, Smart Break now has the option of extended hours, meaning that children can be looked after between 8am and 6pm.

As a qualified teacher, Anna recognised that often there can be a lag in children’s academic attainment when they return to school in September after a long summer holiday. Smart Break is designed to address that lag in a fun and creative way. Each timetable has been designed so that children’s brains are actively engaged whilst ensuring that there is no ‘classroom’ learning. What’s more, Smart Break can be tailored to suit the needs of every child as every day includes a huge amount of variety and choice!

This year, Smart Break will be based in The Omnibus Theatre on the North side of Clapham Common (they also have other dates in different locations, see their website). A beautifully light venue, The Omnibus has been chosen intentionally so children have both indoor and outdoor space. This year, Smart Break will be running in The Omnibus Theatre from 19th to 23rd August.

Week long courses cost just £290. Spaces are limited so be sure to book early to ensure that your child gets a space!

Smart Break has a special offer for Clapham Mums: 10% off plus 2 free breakfast session. Email to redeem.
