Clapham Osteopathic Practice aim to deliver the highest quality osteopathic healthcare and patient comfort for you, your family and your friends – whatever your needs may be. Their patients include: newborn babies, pregnant women (antenatal and postpartum), sportsmen, sportswomen, athletes, office workers, manual workers, singers, musicians, dancers, yogis, babies, toddlers, children, teenagers, adults and the elderly. They see people with a wide variety of health issues and injuries whether acute, subacute or chronic. They also offer annual check-ups, preventative treatments and exercise and stretching advice.


All members of Clapham Osteopathic Practice are registered with the General Osteopathic Council and are members of the British Osteopathic Association. They continually undertake post-graduate osteopathy courses and seminars, and attend medical lectures to keep our practice and knowledge up to date with the latest osteopathic and medical research.


Elizabeth Kane is the owner/ principal Osteopath at the clinic. After a career in accountancy she retrained as an osteopath and qualified in 2011. Elizabeth has a special interest in women’s health and completed a post graduate diploma in Women’s Health last year.  The clinic has a special focus on Women’s health and paediatrics across all their therapies. It is lovely to meet patients who are trying to conceive and then help them throughout the journey to the birth of their child.


They offer a range of therapies: Osteopathy, Massage (pregnancy, holistic, sports, lymphatic drainage), Nutritional Therapy, Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Hypnotherapy. All their osteopaths treat using a variety of techniques – cranial (which is very gentle and suitable for babies) to soft tissue massage, joint articulation and manipulation.  They have two osteopaths who specialise pediatric osteopathy.


The practice offer a service called Mummy MOT which is aimed at postpartum women:

  • 1-hour post-natal assessment with our Women’s Health Osteopath
  • Ideally at 6 weeks and beyond
  • Checks Pelvic Floor Strength and Tummy gap
  • Assesses any physical problems arising from pregnancy and birth
  • Recommends a bespoke postnatal recovery programme, looking at Posture, Breathing and core activation

Their osteopaths accept most healthcare insurers except AXA.
