The Clapham Pregnancy and Baby Show is back and will take place at Henry Cavendish School, (alongside the Farmers Market), on October 8th, 10:00am -1:00pm.

Clapham’s FIRST local baby event started nearly two years ago and they have been so popular (it was sold out on both occasions) that the show has been moved  to a larger venue, alongside the local Farmers Market held at Henry Cavendish School, Hydethorpe Road, Balham SW12 0JA.

As you can see from the video (produced by Angelika Erdelyi) and the photo gallery (by Photograface), the event is intentionally on a much smaller scale than the big Olympia Baby Show, and much more local – and feedback from attendees endorsed this approach as ‘not a big sales pitch, but very informative and fun’.

The event is now run by 3 local businesses: Neighbourhood Midwives, Baby Intuition and Hello Mums. As a team they are all committed to supporting parents in their parenting journey, both through our individual work and through this local event.

The Clapham Pregnancy and Baby Show is a free ticketed event and it’s aim is to introduce pregnant women and new parents to many of the fantastic local businesses that are available in our area, from hypnobirth experts and birth doulas to reflexologists, maternity wear specialists and many more, all of whom will be offering discounts on the day.

Local retailer, Peppermint will host an ‘equipment zone’ again, giving expectant parents a chance to try out a range of products from prams to slings and high chairs.

This year the show will raise funds for Midwives for Women, a local charity providing midwifery care and support for vulnerable women including those with mental health issues.

Hamptons Estate Agents are once again our Community sponsors being part of their ongoing commitment to support local businesses and parents.
