Whether you’re overwhelmed by a challenging stage of your child’s development or simply wish to assess and develop your own parenting skills, a visit to a parent coach can be hugely beneficial.

Battersea-based Anastasia Seale is a parent coach who believes in empowering people to be the parents they want to be. She runs a variety of courses and workshops, as well as individual consultations, all designed to help mums and dads deal confidently with everything parenthood throws at them.

Originally a lawyer, Anastasia retrained to be a parent coach after being inspired by international bestseller How to Talk so Kids will Listen and How to Listen so Kids will Talk by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish. She helps parents understand themselves and their children better, equips parents with practical tools to help their children build a healthy sense of self-esteem and enables them to create an atmosphere of respect and cooperation within the family.

Individuals or couples can join the fun and insightful courses that run over six or ten weeks in the mornings and evenings – these include ‘How To Talk So Kids Will Listen’ and ‘Siblings Without Rivalry’, based on the acclaimed books by Faber and Mazlish, as well as The Nurturing Programme. Prices start at £30 for an individual workshop or a refresher or £270 for a six-week course. Check out the website for date and venue details.

Families can also choose to work with Anastasia on a one-to-one basis. In this instance the sessions are designed solely for them and their family. Price on application.
