If idly flicking though magazines at the hairdresser is a distant memory, and the prospect of braving a salon with a baby or toddler just too stressful to contemplate, then you needn’t turn the garden shears on your barnet just yet. Award-winning hairstylist Chloe Oakes can transform your tresses in the comfort your own home.
Having been in the hairdressing industry for eight years, Chloe is now a freelance senior stylist and colour specialist based in south west London. Her aim is to create beautiful hair, saving her clients the stress of finding a babysitter, trying to juggle work commitments or simply not having the time to get to a salon. Since winning L’Oreal Young Colourist of the Year 2009, Chloe’s skills have not only been in demand for house calls, but also for TV and media advertising campaigns, London Fashion Week and stage shows.
All you need to accommodate Chloe at your house is a chair and access to a sink. She will bring all the necessary products, gown and styling equipment. Magazines are optional!
Time-wise, as she’s pretty quick, it’s about 45 minutes for a cut and 2-2.5 hours for a cut and colour. First-time clients get a consultation, so Chloe will need to see your hair dry, but if not, it’s more efficient if you have your hair just washed when she arrives. She also does children’s cuts – so get the whole family tidied up all in one go. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer for larger amounts.
